from 10am until 12 noon at Ford Park Cemetery
Award winning funeral celebrant Wendy Coulton is leading an informal session to give practical guidance on what to consider and put in place for the end of your life.
Having served the bereaved for a decade Wendy has seen first hand the emotional distress, financial hardship and sometimes conflict when there isn’t clarity on what the person who has died wanted for their funeral and arrangements were not set out in advance.
Wendy says: “We don't know when our time in this world will end but we can give those grieving for our passing reassurance and a clear sense of what we want so they don't have to second guess our wishes when that time comes.
“When we are deeply shocked or saddened it can be difficult making decisions in a short time frame to organise key matters such as registering the death and planning the funeral. Having clear instructions and information all in one safe place can be your final act of love to those you want to protect and help.
“It can make a positive difference when those left behind can plan with confidence and know they are honouring the wishes of their loved one."
Wendy hopes those who take the time to attend the workshop will leave with a checklist of simple tasks to complete and give them peace of mind.
