At Ford Park Cemetery we have exceptional examples which showcase the skills of stonemasons with intricate and beautiful headstones and memorials.
The symbolism and attention to detail is like a hidden language - as you walk around the cemetery you can translate what you see into interesting clues which reveal more about the person laid to rest and their families or communities honouring their life.
Our Victorian Symbolism exhibition curated by our talented heritage team volunteers is well worth a visit in the Visitor Centre Chapel.
There’s no charge for admission to this exhibition but donations are always welcome to help us maintain the cemetery for the bereaved and local community.
The exhibition runs from 8th July to 26th August 2023. Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.30am-3.30pm and weekends from 12.30pm-3.30pm.
