As custodian of Ford Park Cemetery, the Trust has set up a number of volunteer driven projects to ensure that documents including burial and deed registers are available for future reference.
A dedicated small team of volunteers with keen eyesight have patiently worked through the original paper documents, transcribed the entries and established a computerised database of burial and deed registers.  Original documentation would not withstand a lot of manual handling so this is important work to ensure access to this information which is so precious for individual family research and wider city history studies.

Volunteers have also been recording the characteristics of and inscriptions on every monument in the cemetery and researched the fascinating stories of notable graves.
