Ford Park is a community cemetery close to the centre of Plymouth, which from the north has panoramic views across the city.

We are proud of our 150 years of history but also mindful and sensitive to the needs of contemporary society in relation to the primary purpose of Ford Park as a burial ground.

Our staff, employed and voluntary, are friendly and professional and we provide competitive and personal services. There is a wide range of burial and memorial services available in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Burials

Ford Park Cemetery has a beautiful green landscape – formal in the oldest SW quarter and with an informal country cemetery feel the further you walk on to the site, in which wild flowers flourish and wildlife is protected and encouraged.

The Trust offers a wide choice in terms of location, price, memorialisation and length of burial right, including rights in perpetuity which are often described as freehold. We go to great lengths to try and ensure that a grave is positioned where you want it and that a funeral service can take place on the date and at the time requested by a bereaved family. There is also a great flexibility in the length of funeral services in the chapel. At every point we try to meet your wishes.

There is a memorial garden dedicated to the burial of stillborn and young babies in individual graves.

A Memorial Garden for cremated remains is also set aside.

The Trust offers environmentally friendly burials for those who wish to mark a grave with a tree rather than a headstone and who may prefer to bury their loved ones in a biodegradable coffin or shroud.
