Ford Park Cemetery continues to serve the people of Plymouth as a place for burial, interment of cremated remains and remembrance.
Our friendly, professional staff are committed to providing the bereaved with a personal, confidential service which meets their individual needs. The needs of the bereaved are our priority.
Ford Park is a unique choice of local cemetery in terms of:
- Its location in the heart of city life, with panoramic views
- The beautiful open landscape part of which is Grade II* Listed by English Heritage
- The restored Grade II Listed Victorian chapel for funeral and remembrance services with historic ambience
- A proud history spanning over 160 years, the Cemetery being in effect a biography of Plymouth
- A wide choice for our clients of location, price, type of memorialisation and length of burial right – including rights in perpetuity which are often described as freehold
- We are the only cemetery in Plymouth with a Memorial Garden dedicated to the burial of stillborn and young babies in individual graves
- A Memorial Garden for cremated remains
- The choice of having a tree, not a headstone, to mark a grave
- A charitable trust – run by local people for local people – owns and manages the cemetery
- The dedication of our volunteers was recognised with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
- The Trust offers continued support and friendship to bereaved families and this is something we take great pride in.
