Ford Park Cemetery is a biography of the city of Plymouth. As well as the personal connections families have with relatives buried there, there is also so much about the place which reflects the heritage of Plymouth.

As well as the graves of notable figures, there are also hundreds of graves of ordinary people who led extraordinary lives. Even the headstones themselves – the type and style of headstone chosen can reveal a lot about the time, such as the marble being imported from Italy or the wealth or status of the deceased.

The Trust passionately believes the cemetery is a heritage asset for local people and visitors. It is a unique classroom in Plymouth for school children to learn about Victorian symbolism, the second world war and Victorian life.

Organised group visits and guided walks and events are hosted throughout the year.

The cemetery is a place for learning and inspiration.
