The aim of the Friends of Ford Park Cemetery is to bring together all who know and love the cemetery and who wish to promote its interests and ensure its long term survival.

One of their main contributions is in the area of research which is carried out by both Friends and Volunteers. This research is ongoing and provides an historical and personal background to the lives of those who are buried in Ford Park.

The Friends work closely with the Trust and Volunteers in providing support for various events held within the cemetery. They organize and provide the people who carry out the guided walks and who visit various organizations within and around the Plymouth area to present talks on the cemetery. At all events held within the cemetery the Friends make a major contribution towards the hospitality provided for our visitors.

These events are an important activity to raise funds for the charitable trust which owns and manages the cemetery and to raise awareness about the achievements and community opportunities to enjoy what Ford Park Cemetery offers in terms of the landscape, open space and heritage value.

The Friends are like-minded people who share a love of the cemetery and are an integral part of the Ford Park Cemetery organization.

If you are interested in becoming a Friend we would love to hear from you. Call the cemetery office on 01752 665442, email trustees@ford-park-cemetery.org or you can download an application form here..
