Ford Park Cemetery Trust believes that community appreciation and enjoyment of the heritage and landscape value of the cemetery is essential to its future. With this in mind it has developed a programme of events which appeals to a wide range of local people and visitors to our city. Most of these events, unless otherwise stated, are free of charge and donations to support the charitable trust improvements to the cemetery are welcome. Disabled access is limited because of the natural topography of the site but there are main routes throughout the cemetery accessible to wheelchairs and motor vehicles. Sensible footwear is always advisable for walking around the site and visitors are advised not to stray off the main paths unless necessary because the ground surface can be uneven. Homemade refreshments are often served at our events and toilets facilities and free on site parking is available. The cemetery also has a heritage trail for those who wish to learn more about notable graves. The following events are planned for this year:- 2008 EventsFriday 15 August Community barbeque and storytelling event 7pm start The Lord Mayor of Plymouth will be our guest when a barbeque and storytelling event is held to help raise funds for the Rejuven8 appeal.
